Dr. Peters is a board-certified ophthalmologist and cornea specialist.
He earned his medical degree at Creighton University, trained in Ophthalmology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and completed a Cornea and External Disease Fellowship at the University of Florida.
He is a clinical professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and has served in the American Academy of Ophthalmology at various levels, most recently as the Secretary for State Affairs.
When he is not working, Dr. Peters enjoys bicycling, landscaping, and reading.
